एंड्रयू साइमंड्स की एक रोड एक्सीडें में मौत, सदमे में हुआ खेल जगत

खेल डेस्क (मा.स.स.). अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट खिलाड़ी एंड्रयू साइमंड्स ने दुनिया को अलविदा कह दिया. शनिवार देर रात हुए एक रोड एक्सिंडेट में उनकी मौत हो गई. 46 साल के साइमंड्स के निधन की खबर सुनते ही खेल जगत में शोक की लहर दौड़ गई है.

प्राप्त जानकारी के मुताबिक ऑस्ट्रेलिया के दिग्गज क्रिकेटर एंड्रयू साइमंड्स की कार का शनिवार रात करीब 10 बजे टाउंसविले शहर से 50 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर  एक्सीडेंट हो गया. तेज रफ्तार के चलते कार अनियंत्रित होकर पलट गई. जिसके बाद मौके पर ही साइमंड्स ने दम तोड़ दिया. साइमंड्स की मौत की खबर आते ही दुनिया भर के तमाम क्रिकेट फैन्स सहित क्रिकेट जगत से जुड़े लोगों ने शोक व्यक्त करते हुए श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की है.

आपको बता दें कि साइमंड्स का क्रिकेट करियर काफी शानदार रहा है. एंड्रयू ने 198 वनडे मैचों में 6 शतर और 30 अर्धशतक की बदैलत 5088 रन बनाए है. क्रिकेट में अच्छे प्रदर्शन के साथ साइमंड्स विवादों से भी घिरे रहे. साल 2007 के दौरान हरभजन सिंह के साथ हुआ उनका विवाद काफी चर्चा में रहा. इसके अलावा एंड्रयू साइमंड्स ने 19 फरवरी 2012 को क्रिकेट की दुनिया से हमेशा के लिए संन्यास ले लिया था.
