Glimpse of women power seen on Republic Day, U.P. gave darshan of Ramlala

New Delhi. The country is celebrating its 75th Republic Day today. First of all, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the War Memorial and paid tribute to the martyrs. Here Modi kept silence for 2 minutes. After this he reached the duty path to participate in the Republic Day parade.

On the other hand, President Draupadi Murmu and French President Emmanuel Macron arrived on duty in the carriage. For the first time since 1984, a President arrived in a carriage for the Republic Day programme. At the same time, President Draupadi Murmu hoisted the tricolor on Rajpath for the second time. 13 thousand special guests also arrived. This time the theme of Republic Day is ‘Developed India’ and India – Mother of Democracy.

The parade started with 100 women musicians playing conch shells, drums and other traditional musical instruments. 100 women performed folk dance in their traditional attire. 51 aircraft of the Air Force took part in the flypast. These included 29 fighter planes, 7 transport aircraft, 9 helicopters and one heritage aircraft. For the first time, Rafale fighter planes of the French Army also participated in the flypast.

The tableau of Uttar Pradesh was in discussion. This tableau focused on ‘Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Ram: Developed India – Prosperous India’. In this the child form of Lord Ram was shown. A tableau of Arunachal Pradesh focusing on developed India was also released. After this, the tableau of Haryana and then Manipur ‘Thambal Gi Langla – Lotus Threads’ was released. After Manipur, a glimpse of Madhya Pradesh based on self-reliance was released. After this, tableaux of Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan were seen.

19 children who were winners of the Prime Minister’s National Children’s Award also participated in the parade. He was given awards for his work in fields like bravery, art-culture, science, social service, sports. BSF camel contingent participated in the parade. It was led by Deputy Commandant Manohar Singh Kheri. For the first time, BSF Women Brass Band and Border Security Force Women Contingent marched on the duty path. ‘Nari Shakti’ depicted the women power of the country.

The tableau of the Indian Air Force also participated in the parade. Its theme- Indian Air Force: Capable, Strong, Self-reliant. Its commander was Flight Lieutenant Ananya Sharma and Flying Officer Asma Shaikh. The all-women band of Delhi Police participated in the #RepublicDay parade for the first time. The parade was led by Band Master Sub Inspector Ruyangunuo Kense.

For the first time, the women’s contingent of the Armed Forces Medical Services marched on the Path of Duty. It was led by Major Srishti Khullar. This included Captain Amba Samant from the Army Dental Corps, Surgeon Lieutenant Kanchana from the Indian Navy, Flight Lieutenant Divya Priya from the Indian Air Force. The tableau of the Indian Navy depicted ‘women power’ and ‘self-reliance’. It also featured the aircraft carrier INS Vikrant and naval ships Delhi, Kolkata and Shivalik and Kalvari class submarine.
