Raipur. A sensational case has come to light from Savitri Nagar under Jutmil police station area of Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh. There has been an allegation of religious conversion taking place in a house in Savitri Nagar. After the news of conversion came to light, police reached the spot. It is alleged that conversion was being done by some people of the Christian community. As soon as the news of conversion was received, RSS and Bajrang Dal workers also reached the spot. After which women from the Christian community attacked Bajrang Dal workers and local people.
Many people have suffered serious injuries in the attacks on women. It is alleged that conversion work was being carried out by building a church inside the house. After the uproar, the police have taken into custody the women and others from the Christian community who had undergone conversion. Police have seized a large number of books, CCTV and other items.
The game has been going on for a long time
It is alleged that the game of religious conversion was going on secretly in Savitri Nagar for a long time. On receiving information about the uproar, senior police officers and SDM also reached the spot. Local councilor Pati Muktinath Prasad Babua said that when we reached the spot after receiving information about conversion in the locality, we found that the information was correct. When we protested against this, the Christian women attacked. After which the police was informed.
CSP Abhinav Upadhyay said that on receiving information about the conversion, the police team along with the SDM reached the spot and seized some materials from there. He said that some people have been brought to the police station. We have received application in this regard. At present we are investigating this entire matter.
