Husband gave triple talaq on second day of marriage, accused police of not cooperating

Lucknow. A case of triple talaq has come to light in Gola Gokarnath town of Lakhimpur Kheri. In which instead of taking action, the police is forcing the victim to make rounds of the police station. The victim has requested the officers to take action.

The victim told that she was married to Guddu and on the second day of the marriage he took her to his home. Where he divorced her. After the divorce, she is making rounds of the police station and top officials of the district, but no one listens to her.

Recently, the triple talaq victim had complained to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath including the State Women Commission and higher officials through registered post about her husband not keeping her with her due to his illicit relations. In the matter of 3 divorces, a complaint was filed in Gola police station on January 20 and demand for action was taken. Despite that the police did not take any action. The victim has appealed to UP Chief CM Yogi Adityanath for help.
