MCX GOLD futures contract gains by 0.26% and SILVER futures gains by 1.45%

CRUDEOIL Sep-24 futures contract gains by 2.37% : Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Sep-24 futures was reached at 17930 point: MCX records turnover of Rs.10458.53 crores in Commodity Futures & Rs.67865.63 crores in Options

Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.78326.31 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 11 September 2024 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 10458.53 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 67865.63 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Sep-24 futures was reached at 17930 point.

Commodity Future Contracts:

Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 6535.22 crores. GOLD Oct-24 contract was up by 0.26% to Rs. 72102 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Sep-24 contract was up by 0.19% to Rs. 58100 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Sep-24 contract was up by 0.31% to Rs. 7068 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Oct-24 contract was up by 0.3% to Rs. 72040 per 10 gram.

SILVER Dec-24 contract was up by 1.45% to Rs. 84895 per kg, while SILVERM Nov-24 contract was up by 1.4% to Rs. 84906 per kg and SILVERMIC Nov-24 contract was up by 1.4% to Rs. 84912 per kg.

Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2451.80 crores with volume of 3397 lots and OI of 20444 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2098.48 crores with volume of 8254 lots and OI of 30921 lots.

Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1848.65 crores. COPPER Sep-24 contract was up by 0.96% to Rs. 792.5 per kg and ZINC Sep-24 contract was up by 1.71% to Rs. 259 per kg while ALUMINIUM Sep-24 contract was up by 1.25% to Rs. 222.3 per kg and LEAD Sep-24 contract was up by 1.08% to Rs. 182.95 per kg.

Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1072.92 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 163.80 crores, Lead futures Rs. 45.45 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 414.04 crores.

Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2092.27 crores. CRUDEOIL Sep-24 contract was up by 2.37% to Rs. 5664 per BBL while NATURALGAS Sep-24 contract was down by 0.37% to Rs. 188 per MMBTU.

Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1072.28 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 793.83 crores.

AGRI: MENTHAOIL Sep-24 contract was up by 0.41% to Rs. 953 per kg and COTTONCNDY Sep-24 contract was up by 0.65% to Rs. 58700 per candy.

Options on Commodity Future Contracts:

Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 67865.63 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1102.73 crores.

Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.5700 was up by 75.63% to Rs. 103.80 with volume of 102663 lots & OI of 18006 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.5600 was down by 44.44% to Rs. 87.4 with volume of 91659 lots & OI of 11846 lots.

Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.200 was down by 5.62% to Rs. 4.20 with volume of 12420 lots & OI of 8567 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.190 was up by 3.09% to Rs. 10 with volume of 12318 lots & OI of 6399 lots.

Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.73000 was up by 11.03% to Rs. 448.00 with volume of 856 lots & OI of 916 lots, while Gold Put Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.72000 was down by 13.84% to Rs. 737.5 with volume of 944 lots & OI of 450 lots.

Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.85000 was up by 18.98% to Rs. 3381.50 with volume of 260 lots & OI of 850 lots, while Silver Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.80000 was down by 19.84% to Rs. 1315 with volume of 242 lots & OI of 976 lots.
