CRUDEOIL futures gains by 0.83%: Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX futures was reached at 17935 point

MCX records turnover of Rs.9008.43 crores in Commodity Futures & Rs.70963.03 crores in Options: GOLD Oct-24 futures contract gains by 0.16% and SILVER Dec-24 futures contract gains by 0.59%

Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.79972.54 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 12 September 2024 till 5:30 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 9008.43 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 70963.03 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Sep-24 futures was reached at 17935 point.

Commodity Future Contracts:

Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 4554.29 crores. GOLD Oct-24 contract was up by 0.16% to Rs. 72041 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Sep-24 contract was up by 0.06% to Rs. 58115 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Sep-24 contract was up by 0.1% to Rs. 7064 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Oct-24 contract was up by 0.12% to Rs. 71962 per 10 gram.

SILVER Dec-24 contract was up by 0.59% to Rs. 84948 per kg, while SILVERM Nov-24 contract was up by 0.56% to Rs. 84959 per kg and SILVERMIC Nov-24 contract was up by 0.55% to Rs. 84970 per kg.

Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2108.63 crores with volume of 2926 lots and OI of 20576 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1076.05 crores with volume of 4221 lots and OI of 30824 lots.

Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 2144.86 crores. COPPER Sep-24 contract was up by 1.18% to Rs. 801.55 per kg and ZINC Sep-24 contract was up by 1.68% to Rs. 263.65 per kg while ALUMINIUM Sep-24 contract was up by 1.03% to Rs. 225.3 per kg and LEAD Sep-24 contract was up by 1.12% to Rs. 185.25 per kg.

Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1340.91 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 175.65 crores, Lead futures Rs. 48.17 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 412.44 crores.

Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2327.83 crores. CRUDEOIL Sep-24 contract was up by 0.83% to Rs. 5737 per BBL while NATURALGAS Sep-24 contract was up by 0.57% to Rs. 192.9 per MMBTU.

Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 782.81 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1291.69 crores.

AGRI: MENTHAOIL Sep-24 contract was up by 0.07% to Rs. 956 per kg .

Options on Commodity Future Contracts:

Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 70963.03 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1098.5 crores.

Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.5800 was up by 23.79% to Rs. 74.40 with volume of 109078 lots & OI of 20536 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.5600 was down by 27.55% to Rs. 50.5 with volume of 73734 lots & OI of 13034 lots.

Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.200 was up by 11.22% to Rs. 5.45 with volume of 24006 lots & OI of 9540 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.190 was down by 9.87% to Rs. 6.85 with volume of 26092 lots & OI of 8548 lots.

Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.72000 was up by 5% to Rs. 745.00 with volume of 1203 lots & OI of 1079 lots, while Gold Put Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.71000 was down by 16.41% to Rs. 295.5 with volume of 822 lots & OI of 1080 lots.

Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.95000 was up by 5.37% to Rs. 1000.00 with volume of 44 lots & OI of 552 lots, while Silver Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.84000 was down by 7.29% to Rs. 2860 with volume of 109 lots & OI of 325 lots.
