MCX Gold futures price climbs 0.45% to Rs.73,150, silver futures rises 0.70% to Rs.87,705

MCX records turnover of Rs.9887.45 crores in Commodity Futures & Rs.57752.06 crores in Options: CRUDEOIL Sep-24 futures contract gains by 0.84% : Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Sep-24 reaches at 18279 point

Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.67640.98 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 13 September 2024 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 9887.45 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 57752.06 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Sep-24 futures was reached at 18279 point.

Commodity Future Contracts:

Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 7118.79 crores. GOLD Oct-24 contract was up by 0.45% to Rs. 73150 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Sep-24 contract was up by 0.61% to Rs. 59057 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Sep-24 contract was up by 0.6% to Rs. 7169 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Oct-24 contract was up by 0.5% to Rs. 73047 per 10 gram.

SILVER Dec-24 contract was up by 0.70% to Rs. 87705 per kg, while SILVERM Nov-24 contract was up by 0.68% to Rs. 87639 per kg and SILVERMIC Nov-24 contract was up by 0.67% to Rs. 87618 per kg.

Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 3182.21 crores with volume of 4339 lots and OI of 22301 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1829.85 crores with volume of 6941 lots and OI of 27097 lots.

Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 1470.58 crores. COPPER Sep-24 contract was up by 0.09% to Rs. 799.35 per kg and ZINC Sep-24 contract was down by 0.21% to Rs. 263.9 per kg while ALUMINIUM Sep-24 contract was up by 0.42% to Rs. 225.9 per kg and LEAD Sep-24 contract was down by 0.51% to Rs. 184.05 per kg.

Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 883.49 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 140.80 crores, Lead futures Rs. 39.18 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 281.66 crores.

Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 1306.47 crores. CRUDEOIL Sep-24 contract was up by 0.84% to Rs. 5858 per BBL while NATURALGAS Sep-24 contract was down by 0.4% to Rs. 199.5 per MMBTU.

Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 526.96 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 637.97 crores.

AGRI: MENTHAOIL Sep-24 contract was down by 0.39% to Rs. 952 per kg and COTTONCNDY Nov-24 contract was up by 0.92% to Rs. 58100 per candy.

Options on Commodity Future Contracts:

Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 57752.06 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 769.21 crores.

Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.6000 was up by 17.23% to Rs. 31.30 with volume of 49975 lots & OI of 22177 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.5800 was down by 30.92% to Rs. 61 with volume of 83540 lots & OI of 15899 lots.

Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.220 was down by 17.95% to Rs. 1.60 with volume of 8829 lots & OI of 4907 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.180 was down by 2.7% to Rs. 1.8 with volume of 8113 lots & OI of 15073 lots.

Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.74000 was up by 37.54% to Rs. 397.50 with volume of 892 lots & OI of 1230 lots, while Gold Put Option Sep-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.72000 was down by 18.07% to Rs. 310.5 with volume of 1316 lots & OI of 1057 lots.

Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.100000 was up by 14.4% to Rs. 1025.00 with volume of 358 lots & OI of 603 lots, while Silver Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.87000 was down by 6.26% to Rs. 3330 with volume of 366 lots & OI of 353 lots.
