Delhi, 20 February 2024: A festival of art and literature lovers, Jashn-e-Adab Sahitya Utsav is going to be organized in the …. soon, where renowned artists from all over the country will mesmerize the audience with their amazing performances. The 14th edition of this literary festival, which is held every year, will be held this time from 22 to 24 February at Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts. In this three-day event, one will get to see captivating performances like Kavi Sammelan, Mushaira, panel discussion, Sufi and folk music, classical singing and dance, Qawwali and Ghazal. Various programs of this event will be organized at three different places, Unmukt Amphitheatre, Samvet Auditorium and Chaupal.
On this occasion, Kunwar Ranjit Chauhan, founder of Sahitya Utsav Jashn-e-Adab Kaarva’n Virasat, said, “Jashn-e-Adab is not just a literary festival, but a celebration of our cultural and literary heritage. This platform presents a unique confluence of art, music, dance and literature by bringing together new and reputed artists. This time the event will be even more grand, where every performance will touch the hearts of the audience. Our aim is that every literature and art lover become a part of this festival and feels our rich cultural heritage.”
On the first day of this three-day event, in “Mehfil-e-Ghazal”, famous Ghazal singer Javed Hussain will enthrall the audience with his singing, while Kathak Guru Padmashree Shovana Narayan will mesmerize the audience with her dance performance. Remembering the famous litterateur and song writer Gopal Das Neeraj on his birth centenary, Padmashree Surendra Sharma, Padmashree Prof. Ashok Chakradhar and Nirupama Kotru will have a talk show with Priyanka Jodhawat. Apart from this, programs like Kavi Sammelan, Katha Vachan and Mushaira will also be a part of this day. On the second day, Raja Sarfaraz Darbari will perform in Mehfil-e-Qawwali, Padmashree Ustad Ahmed Hussain and Padmashree Ustad Mohammad Hussain will entertain the audience with wonderful Ghazals in Ghazal-e-Shaam, Sufi and Bhajan singing, Bhaap playing, poetry recitation, storytelling, Baithbaazi and panel discussions will make this festival more enthralling. On the last day, Siddhant Bhatia’s collective band will perform, while a special discussion will be organized on the centenary year of Raj Kapoor. On this occasion, Padmashree Malini Awasthi will present folk songs and Padmashree Yash Gulati will display his art by playing saxophone. Along with this, Padma Bhushan Pandit Sajan Mishra’s singing will be heard through the Sur Sadhna program.
All art lovers can participate in this unique festival of music, dance, literature and culture for free. Along with spectacular performances, the audience will also get an opportunity to enjoy food stalls and art exhibitions, where a great combination of art and cuisine will be seen. This grand event will be supported by prestigious institutions like the Indian Ministry of Culture, Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts, SBI Life, IDBI Bank, Power Grid Corporation, Coal India Limited, Indian Oil, Hindustan Copper Limited and IRFC.
