About Café Niloufer

Cafe Niloufer’s journey began in 1978 with Shri. Anumala Babu Rao, who envisioned crafting a chai that captured the spirit of Hyderabad. At just 15, Babu Rao arrived in Hyderabad with a one-way ticket and started as a waiter at Niloufer Café. His dedication and mastery of tea and biscuits led him to lease the café on a daily contract in 1978. Through sheer perseverance, he eventually acquired it entirely. In 2011, his son Shashank joined him, blending innovation with tradition. After five years of research, they introduced Niloufer Classic, Hyderabad’s first AC chai café.

From a single outlet in Lakdikapul, Cafe Niloufer has expanded to Red Hills, Banjara Hills, and Himayatnagar, all while preserving its signature Hyderabadi chai. Beyond chai, it has grown into a retail name with tea powders and a go-to destination for good food and great times. Serving over 20,000 customers daily, Cafe Niloufer remains committed to its legacy – bringing Hyderabad the authentic taste it loves.
