Additionally, the hotel utilises a first-in, first-out inventory system to maximise ingredient usage and reduce spoilage. Additionally, an Organic Waste Converter (OWC) machine transforms biodegradable food waste into nutrient-rich manure, enriching the hotel’s gardens and promoting a circular waste management approach.
Demonstrating a strong commitment to water conservation, Fairmont Jaipur has installed low-flow fixtures in guest rooms, leading to a 30% reduction in water usage. The hotel’s Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) recycles 70% of wastewater, supporting rainwater harvesting and sustainable landscaping. By replacing water-intensive landscapes with native plants and incorporating sensor taps to minimize water wastage, the hotel ensures a minimal water footprint.
Fairmont Jaipur prioritizes energy efficiency through various innovative measures. Motion sensor lighting in public areas and restrooms optimizes energy use, while Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) in equipment and pumps enhance power efficiency. The hotel has transitioned entirely to LED lighting, reducing overall energy demand. A Building Management System (BMS) further optimizes HVAC operations, balancing guest comfort with sustainability.
Beyond environmental initiatives, Fairmont Jaipur is deeply committed to social responsibility. Through the ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative, the hotel actively supports local artisans, employing their craftsmanship in decor, souvenirs, and guest experiences.
