From Watching in awe to being in the frame: Hitesh Bharadwaj’s Aahat to Aami Dakini journey

Mumbai, June 2025: Sony Entertainment Television’s Aami Dakini is already making waves with its gripping storytelling and unexpected turns. Set against the beautiful backdrop of Kolkata, the show marks a return to deeply immersive storytelling for the channel—bringing back the eerie thrill that once defined their iconic series, Aahat. The show stars Hitesh Bharadwaj as Ayaan, Sheen Das as Dakini, and Rachi Sharma in a pivotal role.

Sharing his excitement, Hitesh Bharadwaj says, “Aahat was a childhood ritual. There was something about its silence and sudden chills that drew me. It scared me, but I couldn’t stop watching.” He recalls, “I remember watching it with my cousins, all of us squeezed under one blanket—acting brave, but jumping at every sound, these memories are still vivid.”

He adds, “To now be part of a world that carries the same energy feels surreal. I’ve gone from being the kid on the couch to someone in the show. It’s not just a role—it’s personal. My Character Ayaan is a deeply layered man, stuck between reason and instinct, logic and belief. Playing him meant confronting fears that aren’t always visible—emotional fears, internal battles. And that’s what makes him real.”
