The Tier-2 status comes with a host of significant facilitation benefits, building upon the advantages of Tier-1 Plus. Cornitos now enjoys deferred duty payments, waiver of seal verification, and faster customs clearance with priority scanning and assessment, and reduced bank guarantee requirements. Additional privileges include direct port delivery and entry, on-site inspections with stickers, refund or rebate processing within 45 days, faster drawback disbursement, and dedicated support through a Client Relations Manager. The certification also opens doors to Mutual Recognition Agreements (MRAs) with other countries’ customs authorities, and Cornitos will undergo On-Site Post Clearance Audit (OSPCA) within two years.

According to industry experts, AEO Tier-2 enhances ease of doing business by significantly reducing delays and costs in cross-border trade.
