Chennai, November 28: Young Indians (Yi) Chennai, an integral part of CII, successfully hosted Day 2 of the YUVA Entrepreneurship Summit & BBIC 2.0 National Finale at Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology, Chennai bringing together over 900 students from YUVA colleges across India for a day of inspiration, learning, and national-level startup pitching.

The event hosted some of India’s most influential entrepreneurial voices, each sharing powerful insights with the next generation of founders.

  • C.K. Kumaravel, Co-Founder & CMD, Naturals Salon and Spa, inspired students to develop billion-dream mindsets.
  • Arun Nair, CEO, Startup Singam, fueled the spirit of resilience and founder grit.
  • Pravin Shekar, Chairman & CEO, KREA, delivered compelling lessons on outlier marketing.
  • Suresh Kumar G, Founder & CEO, Pepul & WorkFast AI, shared breakthrough insights on building futuristic tech startups.
  • Dr. Apoorva Haree, Executive Director Rajalakshmi institute of Technology
  • A dynamic Fireside Chat on Women Entrepreneurship featured barrier-breaking leaders Vidya Ragu Founder Himalaya Calling, Nandita Sundareswaran Director Frelish Food Pvt Ltd , Janet Rajan Founder Growth Collective, highlighting challenges, opportunities, and inspiring journeys in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

14 student startup teams from across the country pitched at the Bharat Billion Impact Challenge (BBIC) 2.0 National Finale and top 3 winning teams were:

1st – Helping Hands (Coimbatore)
2nd – FoodShield (Madurai)
3rd – Banraw (Erode)

The winning teams will now receive incubation at IIT Madras, a partnership strengthened by the landmark MoU signed yesterday between Young Indians (Yi) and IIT Madras to catalyse student innovation and early-stage startup development nationwide. Through this collaboration, the teams will gain access to IIT Madras’ innovation ecosystem along with exclusive mentorship and ecosystem support from Headstart and Startup Singam, providing them with a strong launchpad to scale their ideas into impactful ventures.
