Chennai, December 2025: FICCI FLO Chennai, under the leadership of Chairperson Niyati A Mehta, in collaboration with the DNI Vertical of FLO Chennai, presents the Able Art Festival—a unique dance theatre showcase featuring over 50 artists with differing abilities. The event, directed by Dr. Ambika Kameshwar, Founder-Director of RASA – Ramana Sunritya Aalaya, will take place on 12 December 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Narada Gana Sabha (Mini Hall), TTK Road, Chennai.

The Able Art Festival celebrates inclusion, expression and creativity by providing a platform for specially-abled performers trained in Indian dance theatre. A hallmark initiative of RASA, the festival highlights how art can empower individuals, build confidence, foster social connection and bring communities together through shared experiences. The performance is choreographed and coordinated by the RASA team, who have been working in arts-based education and therapeutic practices for several decades.

Dr. Ambika Kameshwar, a pioneer in inclusive education through arts, continues to create holistic environments where performance, movement, music and emotion become transformative tools. Her guidance has enabled artists across age groups and varying abilities to take the stage with confidence.

Speaking about the initiative, Niyati A Mehta , whose focus is to showcase a 360 degree growth and upskilling of not just members but students and community at large, shared that this festival aligns with FLO’s mission of empowerment, social sensitisation and accessibility. “By spotlighting artistic talent within diverse communities, the event encourages more organisations and individuals to engage with inclusive arts” she added.

The Able Art Festival promises a poignant and uplifting experience for audiences, offering meaningful narratives through movement and theatre.
