MCXBULLDEX reaches at 18919 point: GOLD futures drops by 0.47% while SILVER futures gains by 0.23%

CRUDEOIL futures gains by 1.7%: COTTONCNDY futures drops by 0.52%: MCX records turnover of Rs.10671.56 crores in Commodity Futures & Rs.54361.53 crores in Options

Mumbai : India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.65035.74 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 03 October 2024 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 10671.56 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 54361.53 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Oct-24 futures was reached at 18919 point.

Commodity Future Contracts:

Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 6270.10 crores. GOLD Oct-24 contract was down by 0.47% to Rs. 75312 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Oct-24 contract was down by 0.29% to Rs. 61246 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Oct-24 contract was down by 0.17% to Rs. 7477 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Oct-24 contract was down by 0.6% to Rs. 75204 per 10 gram.

SILVER Dec-24 contract was up by 0.23% to Rs. 91587 per kg, while SILVERM Nov-24 contract was up by 0.24% to Rs. 91546 per kg and SILVERMIC Nov-24 contract was up by 0.24% to Rs. 91525 per kg. Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 2525.51 crores with volume of 3320 lots and OI of 18027 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1563.65 crores with volume of 5669 lots and OI of 26749 lots.

Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 2235.63 crores. COPPER Oct-24 contract was up by 0.03% to Rs. 856.85 per kg and ZINC Oct-24 contract was up by 0.77% to Rs. 286.65 per kg while ALUMINIUM Oct-24 contract was up by 0.9% to Rs. 241.8 per kg and LEAD Oct-24 contract was up by 0.33% to Rs. 184.9 per kg. Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1426.13 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 176.16 crores, Lead futures Rs. 91.37 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 360.82 crores.

Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2159.85 crores. CRUDEOIL Oct-24 contract was up by 1.7% to Rs. 6036 per BBL while NATURALGAS Oct-24 contract was up by 1.03% to Rs. 246 per MMBTU. Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 903.18 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 999.32 crores.

AGRI: MENTHAOIL Oct-24 contract was down by 1.05% to Rs. 925 per kg and COTTONCNDY Nov-24 contract was down by 0.52% to Rs. 57410 per candy.

Options on Commodity Future Contracts:

Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 54361.53 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 1374.39 crores.

Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.6000 was up by 40.25% to Rs. 246.00 with volume of 86148 lots & OI of 14873 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.6000 was down by 9.17% to Rs. 220 with volume of 43180 lots & OI of 7820 lots.

Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.260 was up by 10.3% to Rs. 9.10 with volume of 9535 lots & OI of 6862 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Oct-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.240 was down by 9.3% to Rs. 11.7 with volume of 9012 lots & OI of 4737 lots.

Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.77000 was down by 15.3% to Rs. 1110.00 with volume of 282 lots & OI of 560 lots, while Gold Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.71000 was up by 19.05% to Rs. 125 with volume of 473 lots & OI of 702 lots.

Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.92000 was up by 1.68% to Rs. 3700.00 with volume of 440 lots & OI of 529 lots, while Silver Put Option Nov-24 contract at Strike price of Rs.92000 was down by 3.73% to Rs. 4000 with volume of 300 lots & OI of 138 lots.
