Barkha shares her journey of getting into the skin of the character as she details the effort behind the attire, “Getting the look helps me embrace her fierce qualities, like fearlessness, inner strength, and the ability to overcome obstacles The elaborate costumes, intricate jewelry, and dramatic makeup play a pivotal role in bringing this divine avatar to life. The process is meticulous and time-consuming, involving hours spent in makeup and the challenge of wearing heavy mukuts (headgear) and ornate jewelry, all designed to enhance the authenticity of Kali Maa’s persona.”

Amidst the long hours under harsh lights, maintaining flawless skin becomes essential. Barkha follows a strict skincare routine, and shared, “The most crucial skincare process is to thoroughly remove every inch of makeup. Any leftover makeup can worsen the skin, especially since we wear it all day under bright lights. Proper cleansing and moisturizing are also essential. Hydrating the skin is a must, and I religiously follow these two steps while removing the makeup”
