The child was brought late

Maldivian media quoted the child’s father as saying, “We called Island Aviation to take him to Male immediately after the stroke, but they did not answer our calls. They answered the phone at 8:30 am on Thursday “The solution for such cases is an air ambulance.” The boy was brought to Male 16 hours after the emergency evacuation request.

Technical fault

This development comes at a time when diplomatic relations between Bharat and the archipelagic nation have recently deteriorated following derogatory comments made by Maldivian ministers towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Commenting on the boy’s death, Maldives MP Mikael Naseem said, “People should not pay the price by giving their lives to satisfy the President’s hostility towards Bharat.”
