Hyderabad, August 2026: Regency College of Culinary Arts & Hotel Management, one of the top colleges in the Telugu states, welcomed the BHMCT and BCTCA Batches of 2026–2029, as well as Diploma in Food Production students. It marked the beginning of a journey filled with curiosity, friendships, meaningful conversations, unforgettable memories, and endless possibilities.

The Freshers’ Party, held at VARA Convention Hall, Ibrahimpatnam, marking the beginning of an exciting academic journey filled with learning, leadership, friendships, and opportunities.The event reflected the vibrant campus life and the strong sense of belonging that Regency College is known for.

With the global hospitality and culinary industry witnessing unprecedented growth, professionally qualified graduates are in high demand across luxury hotels, resorts, cruise lines, airlines, restaurants, and international hospitality brands. Driven by excellent placement opportunities in India and abroad, the BHMCT and BCTCA programmes have emerged as highly sought-after career choices. Regency College once again received an overwhelming response to admissions this academic year, reaffirming its reputation for academic excellence, industry-oriented education, industry-focused training, and an outstanding placement record.

A Heartfelt Welcome to the Regency Family

Freshers’ Day marked the beginning of a new journey by bringing together seniors and juniors and fostering healthy interaction. The seniors warmly welcomed the freshers, saying, “We welcome you from the core of our hearts.” The juniors were overwhelmed by the warmth and affection extended to them, making them feel comfortable and valued from the very beginning.

Keeping in sync with the celebration, the seniors & juniors were seen in smart casuals.

A Celebration of Talent and Togetherness

The celebration commenced with a spectacular cultural programme presented by the seniors, featuring vibrant music, energetic dance performances, and lively entertainment. Students showcased their talents and creativity on stage, while the rhythm of the music kept everyone engaged throughout the event. A variety of games, contests, and refreshments further added to the excitement, making the celebration enjoyable and memorable for everyone.

Theme of the Celebration

The beauty of the ambience was enhanced by elegant blue-and-white balloons, signifying peace, hope, unity, trust, and new beginnings. The soothing décor symbolised the bright and promising future that awaited the freshers as they stepped into their new academic journey.

Principal’s Address

Principal, P. Ramesh Kumar Reddy, addressed the students and encouraged them to be resilient and allow themselves to be moulded by the institution so that they would emerge as confident personalities in the future.

He advised the students to remain dedicated, focused, hardworking, confident, and passionate in pursuing their goals. He inspired them to reach greater heights by carving and shaping their inner abilities and capabilities. He also emphasised that the world had become increasingly digitalised and encouraged students to upskill themselves with the growing trends and technologies of the hospitality industry. He congratulated and appreciated all the participants and the Regency Clubs for their commendable efforts by making the program a grand success.

Entertainment and Performances

The energetic and enthusiastic emcees Ayush, Nirmitha, Roshini & Sayed Atif Ali; kept the show engaged with their lively anchoring and timely one-liners. The seniors enthralled everyone with dance performances ranging from Bollywood to Hip-Hop, while melodious songs performed by a few students provided a refreshing break from the high-energy performances.

Lilting music, cheerful smiles, resounding laughter, and the excitement of meeting new faces created an atmosphere filled with joy and celebration.

Key Attractions

One of the major highlights of the event was the beautifully designed Photo Booth, where students enthusiastically posed with their friends, classmates, and faculty members.

Another crowd-puller was the Bottle Flairing performance by Dhruv Sharma (5th Semester BHMCT) and Mahesh Satish (3rd Semester BHMCT). Their impressive flair bartending skills, featuring stylish bottle tricks and coordinated performances, captivated and earned them a huge round of applause.

Culinary Experience

An exotic and lavish three-course menu added flavour to the celebration and further elevated the occasion. The sumptuous lunch was enjoyed by everyone.

Competitions and Activities

The RAMP WALK became the biggest attraction of the event. The competition was conducted in three exciting rounds—Ramp Walk, Introduction Round, and Question Round. Around 150 students enthusiastically participated. Various games and interactive activities further encouraged confidence, teamwork, and participation.

The fresh entrants also took part in several fun-filled games such as passing ball, Musical freeze, Talent Hunt, Helium balloon, which were thoroughly enjoyed by all. As a token of love and remembrance, the juniors were presented with souvenirs.

Cake Cutting Ceremony and Vote of Thanks

The celebration became even more special as everyone cheerfully applauded while Principal P. Ramesh Kumar Reddy cut the Freshers’ Party cake.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Roshini, who expressed their gratitude to the Principal, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and all the students of Regency College. They concluded with the inspiring words: “Don’t let your guard down! Convert every stumbling stone into a stepping stone. Believe it, and achieve it!”

As REGMATES–2026 concluded, freshers left with cherished memories, new friendships, and renewed confidence. The event stood as a celebration of unity, creativity, and new beginnings, marking a promising start to their academic journey.
