Nirmala Sitharaman while presenting the Union Budget 2024-25 in the Parliament today.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Finance Minister proposed to increase the standard deduction for salaried employees from \u20b950,000 to \u20b975,000. Also, deduction on family pension for pensioners is proposed to be enhanced from \u20b915,000 to \u20b925,000 under the new tax regime. This will provide relief to about four crore salaried individuals and pensioners.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Smt.
