Indian software product industry including startups are being supported through various\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pib.gov.in\/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=2039641\"><strong>programmes<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0such as\u00a0<strong>Centre of Excellences, Technological Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs (TIDE) programme, Next Generation Incubation Scheme (NGIS), ICT Grand Challenges, Gen-Next Support for Innovative Startups (GENESIS)\u00a0<\/strong>etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>About SAMRIDH: Bolstering Indian Software Startups<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/msh.meity.gov.in\/schemes\/samridh\"><strong>SAMRIDH<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>is a flagship programme of MeitY for startups acceleration under National Policy on Software Products \u2013 2019. The SAMRIDH programme, launched in August 2021 aims to support\u00a0<strong>300 software product startups<\/strong>\u00a0with outlay of\u00a0<strong>\u20b999 crore<\/strong>\u00a0over a period of 4 years. SAMRIDH is being implemented through potential and established accelerators across India which provide services like making products market fit, business plan, investor connect and international expansion to startups plus matching funding upto \u20b940 lakh by MeitY. The scheme is being implemented by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/msh.meity.gov.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>MeitY Start-up Hub (MSH), Digital India Corporation (DIC).<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Diverse Accelerator Network for SAMRIDH<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As part of this programme, the\u00a0<strong>second cohort<\/strong>\u00a0SAMRIDH was launched yesterday (4<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0September, 2024) by Secretary, MeitY Sh. S. Krishnan. It is a part of the 100-day agenda of the Government of India to\u00a0<strong>select\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>support 125 startups<\/strong>\u00a0through potential accelerators so as to achieve the\u00a0<strong>target\u00a0<\/strong>of\u00a0<strong>nurturing 300 startups<\/strong>. The interested accelerator may apply for 2<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0cohort of SAMRIDH at<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/msh.meity.gov.in\/schemes\/samridh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/msh.meity.gov.in\/schemes\/samridh<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/image0018BXT.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the\u00a0<strong>first cohort\u00a0<\/strong>of SAMRIDH,\u00a0<strong>22 accelerators from 12 States<\/strong>\u00a0were selected through open calls for proposals. List of accelerators compromises of Government Supported Organizations, Academic Institutions, Private sector and early-stage start-up funding platforms.
