The Conference is the Apex level biannual event facilitating deliberations on significant strategic, operational and administrative issues between the Naval Commanders. Held against the backdrop of evolving geo-political and geo-strategic dynamics, regional challenges and complexity in maritime security situation in West Asia, the Conference plays a crucial role in shaping future course of Indian Navy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0During the Conference,\u00a0<strong>Hon\u2019ble Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh will address the Naval Commanders<\/strong>\u00a0on matters pertaining to national security and national expectations.\u00a0<strong>The Chief of Defence Staff along with the Chiefs of Indian Army and Indian Air Force<\/strong>\u00a0will engage with Naval Commanders to foster collaborations amongst the three Services across spectrum of conflict and convergence towards theaterisation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Conference will commence with the\u00a0<strong>inaugural address by the Chief of the Naval Staff<\/strong>\u00a0and he will review major Operational, Materiel, Logistic, HR Development, Training and Administrative activities pursued by the Indian Navy over last six months and deliberate upon key milestones to be crossed to safeguard maritime interests.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Indian Navy has responded with strength and resolve against emerging threats of drones and missiles affecting safety of trade, demonstrating its capability as\u00a0<em>Preferred Security Partner<\/em>\u00a0in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR). The Commanders will also review the ongoing Naval projects to enhance indigenisation through\u00a0<strong><em>\u2018Make in India\u2019<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0in consonance with the vision of complete \u2018<strong><em>Aatmanirbharta\u2019<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0by 2047. Towards Navy\u2019s commitment to protect India\u2019s maritime interests in the region, the Conference would witness comprehensive review of the Operational preparedness, inter alia discussions on the Navy\u2019s capability enhancement plan, promoting national vision of indigenisation, self-reliance and realising combat effectiveness of Naval forces.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Commanders\u2019 Conference as pivotal platform upholds Navy\u2019s commitment to safeguard India\u2019s maritime interests and Navy\u2019s status as a\u00a0<strong><em>\u2018combat ready, credible, cohesive and future ready force\u2019<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The second edition of Naval Commanders\u2019 Conference of 2024 is scheduled at New Delhi from\u00a017 to 20 Sep 24.
