Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation is releasing the employment related statistics in the formal sector covering the period September 2017 onwards, using information on the number of subscribers who have subscribed under three major schemes, namely the Employees\u2019 Provident Fund (EPF) Scheme, the Employees\u2019 State Insurance (ESI) Scheme and the National Pension Scheme (NPS).<\/p>\n

    1. Employees\u2019 Provident Funds Scheme:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The total number of new EPF subscribers\u00a0during the month of July 2024 is\u00a010,52,143, which was 10,56,867 during the month of June 2024.<\/p>\n

        1. Employees\u2019 State Insurance Scheme:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          • The newly registered employees and paying contribution under the ESI scheme\u00a0during the month of July 2024 is\u00a016,61,836 which was 16,33,848 during the month of June.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            2.3 National Pension Scheme (NPS):<\/strong><\/p>\n

            • The total number of new contributing subscribers under NPS\u00a0during the month of July 2024 is\u00a062,880 which was 64,799 during the month of June 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
