As part of the\u00a0<strong>Atmanirbhar Bharat<\/strong>\u00a0initiative, MeitY\u2019s R&amp;D organisations\u00a0handed over\u00a0various indigenously developed products to MCTE for potential military use, reinforcing the nation\u2019s commitment to self-reliance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/image0010GCI.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><u>Accelerating adoption of advanced technologies<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Building on the commitments made during the 2023 interaction between the former Minister of State, MeitY, and the Chief of Army Staff, the visit by Secretary, MeitY, accompanied by heads of the R&amp;D organisations of MeitY, aimed to strengthen collaborative efforts for\u00a0<strong>joint Research and Development (R&amp;D)<\/strong>\u00a0in key areas such as\u00a0<strong>AI, Quantum, Chip Design, 5G &amp; beyond, strategic electronics and communications<\/strong>\u00a0etc. This partnership is poised to accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies to meet the\u00a0<strong>evolving needs and challenges faced by the Indian Army<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The initiative involves MCTE\u2019s collaboration in MeitY\u2019s R&amp;D efforts in Electronics and IT, including joint research in cutting-edge technologies. It also aims to provide a platform for MSMEs through an incubation ecosystem, promoting cross-pollination of ideas and technologies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><u>CDAC Centre of Excellence at MCTE<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Shri S. Krishnan, Secretary, MeitY<\/strong>\u00a0highlighted the importance of\u00a0<strong>empowering the Armed Forces<\/strong>\u00a0with indigenous solutions and commended the proposed\u00a0<strong>CDAC Centre of Excellence at MCTE<\/strong>. He also appreciated the Letter of Intent with\u00a0<strong>NIELIT<\/strong>\u00a0to enhance military training programs and assured\u00a0support\u00a0for a\u00a0<strong>National Military Technology Research and Incubation Centre at MCTE<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><u>Collaboration\u00a0with researchers to define battlefield needs<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lt Gen K H Gawas, Commandant, MCTE<\/strong>\u00a0said that to unlock the true potential and gravitate towards\u00a0<strong>Viksit Bharat<\/strong>, there is a need for collaboration between Army and researchers to understand battlefield requirements.
