Hyderabad, December 25th, 2024<\/strong>: To commemorate the\u00a022nd Death Anniversary<\/strong>\u00a0of former union minister and APCC President,\u00a0Dr. Mallikarjun<\/strong>, prominent dignitaries including Congress leaders\u00a0Dr. C. Vamshi Chand Reddy<\/strong>, special invitee CWC and ex-MLA;\u00a0Mr Yennam Srinivas Reddy<\/strong>, MLA Mahabubnagar;\u00a0Mr Janampalli Anirudh Reddy<\/strong>, MLA Jadcherla;\u00a0Mr Gurunath Reddy<\/strong>, Chairman Telangana State Police Housing Corporation and ex-MLA;\u00a0Mr Manu Mallikarjun<\/strong>, son of Late Dr Mallikarjun;\u00a0Obaiduallah Kotwal<\/strong>, Chairman, Telangana State Minority Finance Corporation (TSMFC) & Ex-DCC President; along with other leaders and citizens, paid tributes to him at his statue in Mahabubnagar.<\/p>\n The gathered leaders recalled Dr. Mallikarjun’s contributions towards the nation’s development particularly during his tenures as Minister of State for Defence and Minister of state for Railways, his role as a student leader during the Telangana agitation of 1969, in strengthening the Congress party as the APCC President, as well as his pivotal role in the development of Mahabubnagar parliamentary constituency.<\/p>\n Dr. Mallikarjun<\/strong>, who was elected to the Lok Sabha six times, had begun his career in public service with the Telangana agitation of 1969 during which he played a central role as a student union leader hailing from Osmania University where he was studying medicine.
