Hyderabad, 26th January 2025<\/strong>: The third edition of the iconic 3-day music and dance extravaganza, \u2018Ramayana Kalpavrksam\u2019<\/strong>, conceived and curated by Hyderabad based acclaimed dancer\u00a0Dr. Ananda Shankar Jayant<\/strong>, a celebrated artist and cultural ambassador, will be hosted from 31st<\/sup>\u00a0January 2025 to 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0February 2025, at the CCRT campus, Hyderabad. The signature festival and India\u2019s finest talents in classical arts in a unique confluence of art, tradition, and scholarship is being presented by\u00a0Shankarananda Kalakshetra<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Natyarambha<\/strong>, in collaboration with\u00a0Brhat<\/strong>. The festival is to be inaugurated by Chief Guest\u00a0Sri Tejasvi Surya<\/strong>, Member of Parliament.<\/p>\n According to Ananda the creator of the annual festival, Ramayana Kalpavrksam brings Sri Rama Chetana back into our lives, a 3-day immersion into all things Rama through the prism of top class performances, of dance, music and Harikatha, by stars and doyens in the field, inspiring and scholarly talks, by renowned and young scholars, learning workshops on Indic knowledge, exhibitions, crafts and more.<\/p>\n The highlights performances in the evening segment, \u2018Ramarasa<\/strong>\u2019\u00a0promises to be a mesmerizing celebration of art and devotion, featuring an array of stellar performances from the worlds of Carnatic music, classical dance, and storytelling, with the renowned Carnatic duo\u00a0Ranjani-Gayatri<\/strong>, premiering their much-anticipated musical feature,\u00a0\u2018RAMA by RaGa\u2019<\/strong>;\u00a0<\/em>Vishaka Hari<\/strong>, the Harikatha legend, will enchant the audience with\u00a0\u2018Ramayana: The Life-Giving Tree\u2019<\/strong>;\u00a0<\/em>a breathtaking presentation of\u00a0\u00a0Rukmini Devi Arundale\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0iconic dance choreography, \u2018Sabari Moksham<\/strong>,\u2019\u00a0brought to life by the\u00a0Kalakshetra Foundation<\/strong>; the rare and vibrant\u00a0Manipuri Raas, Pung<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Dhol Cholam<\/strong>, performed by the\u00a0JN Manipuri Dance Academy, Imphal<\/strong>, transporting audiences to the cultural heart of Manipur and a soulful invocation, \u2018Takkuvemimanaku<\/strong>,\u2019 performed by the\u00a0Shankarananda Kalakshetra ensemble<\/strong>.\u00a0Each performance is a testament to the timeless legacy of Indian art forms, weaving together music, dance, and storytelling in an unforgettable homage to Lord Rama.<\/p>\n The morning sessions,\u00a0\u2018Ramamrita<\/strong>\u2019<\/em>\u00a0brings together six remarkable and scholarly speakers, each offering a unique perspective on the timeless epic of the Ramayana.\u00a0Prof. Shrinivasa Varakhedi<\/strong>, Vice Chancellor of Central Sanskrit University, renowned for his deep understanding of Sanskrit literature and philosophy;\u00a0Yashodeep Deodhar<\/strong>, creator of the widely popular\u00a021Notes,<\/em>\u00a0sharing innovative insights into the Ramayana;\u00a0Ami Ganatra<\/strong>, acclaimed author of bestselling books on the Ramayana, known for her fresh and thought-provoking interpretations;\u00a0Dr. Anupama Kylash<\/strong>, a celebrated dance scholar, illuminating the Ramayana through the lens of classical Indian dance and culture;\u00a0Dr. DK Hari and Dr. DK Hema<\/strong>, creators of the\u00a0Bharat Gyan<\/em>\u00a0series, bringing their extensive research on India\u2019s ancient wisdom and the Ramayana to life and\u00a0Vikram Sridhar<\/strong>, a gifted young storyteller, weaving the magic of the Ramayana with his compelling narratives.
