Mumbai, April 2025: From her early days as a child actor to her soul-stirring lead in Dil Bechara, and now as a creative force constantly evolving \u2014 Sanjana\u2019s journey resonated deeply with every aspiring artist in the room.<\/p>\n
But her talk wasn\u2019t just about acting. It was a stirring reminder of how storytelling can spark global change.<\/p>\n
As a Youth Champion with UNDP, Sanjana brought a global perspective, sharing insights from her international work \u2014 amplifying youth voices across borders and pushing for systemic change through education and empowerment.<\/p>\n
An academic achiever and gold medalist from Delhi University, Sanjana underlined the importance of education in shaping one\u2019s purpose.
\nHaving addressed the United Nations General Assembly, she opened up about what inspired her: \u201cI remember watching Emma Watson speak at the UN and thinking \u2014 this is where real impact begins. Teaching children gave me a sense of connection. Eventually, I started mentoring volunteers and building that initiative forward. I have a dream to have an organisation where no one is uneducated in our country, I feel lack of education penetration is the larger social issue in our country\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe lack of education is the root of larger issues we face. Solve that, and you address gender and pay disparity, menstrual health awareness, Women\u2019s Rights and so much more. Unfortunately, in lockdown the studies show that 10 Million girls were forced to drop out of school and pushed into domesticity and number for boys were less than a million”<\/p>\n
On early success and dealing with challenges she further shared: “OM not performing at the box office was the first time I realised what ‘process is the prize’ meant. Even though it didn’t, I remember calling all my friends over on the Friday of release to celebrate, because it was a journey that I enjoyed so much and it was such a joyride for me as an experience, doing a film with Adi in itself was a blast!”
\nWith elegance, empathy, and unflinching honesty, Sanjana Sanghi left the audience inspired \u2014 not just to tell better stories, but to become changemakers in their own right.<\/p>\n
