Gowd<\/strong>\u00a0was conferred the prestigious\u00a0\u2018Medical Excellence Award – 2025\u2019<\/strong>\u00a0by the\u00a0Indian Red Cross Society<\/strong>. The award was presented by\u00a0His Excellency Shri Jishnu Dev Varma<\/strong>, Governor of Telangana, at a glittering ceremony held at\u00a0Samskruti Raj Bhavan Community Hall, Somajiguda<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n In his address,\u00a0Governor Shri Jishnu Dev Varma<\/strong>\u00a0praised Dr. Gowd as a \u201cDoctor of Excellence and Selflessness,\u201d highlighting his transformational impact on dental care and his role as an inspiring figure in the medical community.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n The event was presided over by\u00a0Smt. Harichandana Dasari<\/strong>, IAS<\/strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0Collector of Hyderabad and President of IRCS Hyderabad.\u00a0Sri M. Dana Kishore<\/strong>, IAS<\/strong>, Principal Secretary to Government and Chairman, IRCS Hyderabad, graced the occasion as Guest of Honor. Esteemed dignitaries including\u00a0Prof. Sri Ramulu<\/strong>, General Secretary & CEO, IRCS-Telangana;\u00a0Dr. O.S. Reddy<\/strong>, State Treasurer, IRCS-TG; and\u00a0Dr. P. Vijaya Chander Reddy<\/strong>, Dist. Chairman & Former National MC Member, IRCS-Warangal, were present as Special Invitees.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n A trailblazer since 1967,\u00a0Dr. Gowd<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>pioneered Cosmetic Dentistry in 1984, introduced\u00a0dental lasers<\/strong>\u00a0in 1990,\u00a0implants<\/strong>\u00a0in 1998 and\u00a0clear aligners<\/strong>\u00a0in 2015, revolutionizing dental practices in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. He was the\u00a0first Dental Surgeon to bring these technologies<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>to the region.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Among his many laurels, Dr. Gowd served as\u00a0Honorary Dental Surgeon to the Governors of Telangana and A.P.<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>Past President of the Indian Prosthodontic Society<\/strong>, and\u00a0former Principal of Army College of Dental Sciences, Secunderabad<\/strong>. In 2013, he earned global recognition as the\u00a0only Indian Doctor named among the Top 100 Health Professionals of the World<\/strong>\u00a0by the International Biographical Centre (IBC), Cambridge, UK.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n A prolific author and oral health evangelist, Dr. Gowd has published\u00a0eight books in five languages<\/strong>, demystifying dental care for the public. His first book in Telugu,\u00a0Mee Chirunavunu Saridhidukondi<\/em>\u00a0<\/em>(1997), was a pathbreaking work that made dental awareness accessible to common people.
