Sangli, August 2025 \u2013 JSW Steel, one of India\u2019s leading steel manufacturers, successfully conducted anti-counterfeiting raids across three locations in Bel agavi district on August 20, 21, and 22, 2025 . The operations were carried out at Bailahongal, Yargatti, and Chikkodi circle in collaboration with local law enforcement agencies.<\/p>\n
The coordinated raids resulted in the seizure of counterfeit JSW COLOURON+ products, including non-JSW sheets bearing misspelt COLOURON+ branding. Initial investigations revealed that certain individuals were involved in the illegal manufacturing, selling, and profiling of counterfeit coated sheets with fake branding that closely resembles JSW Steel\u2019s genuine products. These counterfeit items were being marketed as original JSW Steel products to unsuspecting customers.<\/p>\n
Following the successful operations, JSW Steel has initiated swift legal action. An FIR has been filed with charges including violations under Section 51(B) and Section 63 of the Copyright Act, demonstrating the company\u2019s firm commitment to protecting its intellectual property rights.<\/p>\n
