Hyderabad, September 2025: The Institute of Hotel Management, Hyderabad (IHM-Hyderabad)<\/strong>, a central government institute under the Ministry of Tourism, ranked the third best institute, successfully;<\/em>\u00a0hosted the\u00a04th<\/sup>\u00a0Season of the Budding Events, comprising of National Budding Professional Competition (Manager)<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0National Budding Chef Competition<\/strong>, at its premises at DD Colony, Vidyanagar, Hyderabad. The four-day mega event, which concluded today, witnessed the participation of 8 teams in the Budding Professional and 13 teams in the Budding Chef\u00a0<\/strong>from leading IHMs, SIHMs, and private hospitality institutes from across India and Hyderabad.<\/p>\n \n The grand inaugural ceremony was graced by\u00a0Chef Sudhakar N. Rao<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Director\/Principal, Culinary Academy of India and a proud Alumnus of IHM-Hyderabad;\u00a0Mr. Anirban Kundu<\/strong>, Food & Beverage Manager, Taj Deccan, Hyderabad;\u00a0Mr. Sanjay Thakur<\/strong>, Principal\/ Member Secretary, IHM-Hyderabad;\u00a0Ms. Rachna Agashe<\/strong>, HoD, IHM-Hyderabad;\u00a0Mr. Puneet Razdan,<\/strong>\u00a0HoD, IHM-Hyderabad and other dignitaries. The inaugural also set the tone for the competitions with inspiring addresses and enthusiastic participation from students across the country.<\/p>\n \n Participants in the\u00a0National Budding Professional (Manager) 2025<\/strong>\u00a0category competed across diverse and industry-relevant events, testing their problem-solving, creativity, and operational skills. The categories included Online Test; Pitcharest- F&B Business Plan; SoP Detective –\u00a0Error Detection & Correction; Floresque – Ikebana Competition; Front Desk Showdown – Service Recovery Skills; Takeoff – Product Launch Competition; Hotel Ecothon- Digital Junior Suite Designing; Sell Me This Pen –\u00a0Selling Tactics and Hustle – Cocktail Making Competition. Based on cumulative scores from these events, the prestigious titles of\u00a0Mr. Budding Professional (Manager)<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Ms. Budding Professional (Manager)<\/strong>\u00a0were awarded to the most deserving candidates.<\/p>\n \n National Budding Chef 2025 \u2013 Competitions & Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n The Budding Chef Competition featured intense rounds across multiple cuisines and themes, bringing out the best of India\u2019s culinary student talent in\u00a0Regional Indian Authentic Cookery<\/strong>;\u00a0International Surprise Basket<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Cake Decoration Competition<\/strong>. The rigorous competitions tested participants\u2019 culinary creativity, technical precision, and ability to work under pressure, culminating in the announcement of the\u00a0National Budding Chef 2025 Champion Team.<\/strong><\/p>\n \n Valedictory Ceremony of National Budding Events 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n The Valedictory ceremony hosted today, was attended by eminent industry stalwarts including Guest of Honour\u00a0Celebrity Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi<\/strong>;\u00a0Mr. Rubin Cherian<\/strong>, General Manager, Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & HICC;\u00a0Mr. Rohan George<\/strong>, Resident Manager, Green Park Hyderabad;\u00a0Mr. John Biswas<\/strong>, Hotel Manager, Radisson Blu Banjara Hills;\u00a0Chef Manpreet Singh Malik<\/strong>, Executive Chef, Taj Deccan and\u00a0Mr.Sanjay Thakur, Principal\/<\/strong>\u00a0Member Secretary, IHM-Hyderabad\u00a0<\/strong>and gave away the prizes to the winners in the various categories.
