Hyderabad, 1st February 2026:\u00a0<\/strong>Day 2 of\u00a0Ramayana Kalpavrksham<\/strong>\u00a0began at dawn with a deeply absorbing\u00a0Ramamrita Pravachanam<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0Sita Ramakalyanam<\/strong>\u00a0by\u00a0Brahmasri Chaganti Koteswara Rao<\/strong>. Drawing from scripture, philosophy, and lived wisdom, the discourse offered audiences a profound spiritual and cultural entry into the Ramayana.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n A thought-provoking conversation between\u00a0Raghava Krishna<\/strong>, Founder and CEO of BRHAT, and festival curator\u00a0Dr. Ananda Shankar Jayant<\/strong>, on Restoring and Raising a Confident India. The dialogue explored the role of the arts in reclaiming and strengthening India\u2019s civilisational narratives in a contemporary context.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Dr. Mohan Raghavan<\/strong>\u00a0presented Technorama \u2013 Rama Rasa, examining the experience (anubhooti) of the Ramayana within the evolving world of technology. The session bridged ancient rasa theory with modern technological sensibilities, offering an interdisciplinary perspective.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Charusmitha Rao<\/strong>\u00a0and Bharatanatyam dancer\u00a0Shivaranjini Harish<\/strong>\u00a0presented I\u2019m F9: Navarasa through the Ramayana, an Indic brand showcase by\u00a0Coolture Designs<\/strong>.\u00a0 interspersed with Bharatantyam. The presentation interpreted the Navarasas through the narratives of the Ramayana, blending design and storytelling in a creative manner.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n The evening opened with a rare puppet-style dance drama, The Ramayana, by the\u00a0Rangasri Little Ballet Theatre, Bhopal<\/strong>. Originally premiered in 1953, this folkloristic production combined ballet and Rajasthani puppet traditions, featuring stylised movements, square masks, and vivid visual design. This production was described as \u201ca stroke of genius\u201d for its illusion of animated wooden puppets.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Choreographed by\u00a0Shanti Bardhan<\/strong>, the performance traced the Ramayana from Rama\u2019s coronation and exile to the abduction of Sita, the alliance with Sugreeva and Hanuman, and the final triumph of dharma. The production involved\u00a019 members including artists and crew<\/strong>, with music composed by\u00a0Bahadur Hussain Khan<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Abani Dasgupta<\/strong>, and lyrics by\u00a0Dashrath Lal Singh<\/strong>.
