From local schools, fire and police departments, pubs and restaurants, workplaces, and community centers, volunteers of all ages will host <a href=\"https:\/\/api.newsfilecorp.com\/redirect\/N3K4rsPx02\">head-shaving events and fundraisers<\/a>, turning acts of solidarity into critical research funding. <\/p>\n<p>Throughout the month of March, hundreds of events will bring together more than 4,000 supporters who will shave their heads, volunteer, donate and stand in solidarity with kids battling cancer. Together, these gatherings represent a powerful grassroots movement \u2014 one that continues to grow year after year and unites communities in a shared commitment to better outcomes for children.<\/p>\n<p>Every two minutes, a child is diagnosed with cancer somewhere in the world, and in the United States it remains the leading cause of death by disease among children. Behind each diagnosis is a family suddenly navigating hospital stays, treatment decisions, and an uncertain future. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;March is a powerful reminder of what happens when communities come together with purpose,&#8221; shares Kathleen Ruddy, St. Baldrick&#8217;s CEO. &#8220;Across the country, we see neighbors, schools, first responders, and local businesses stepping up in extraordinary ways to stand with children facing cancer.
