\nPalghar, March 2026: With an aim to strengthen emergency trauma response along National Highway 48 (NH 48), SaveLIFE Foundation (SLF), supported by the CSR initiative of Auto Hangar India Private Limited (Auto Hangar), handed over essential trauma care medical equipment at Sub District Hospital (SDH) Kasa and Rural Hospital (RH) Talasari, District Palghar, Maharashtra, thus upgrading both medical facilities into Trauma Stabilisations Centres.<\/p>\n
The upgrade includes the provision of critical trauma care equipment for airway management, breathing support, bleeding control, and other essential interventions required for the resuscitation and stabilisation of road crash victims.<\/p>\n
The upgrade is aimed at enabling both hospitals to provide timely and effective care within the golden hour\u2014the crucial period immediately following a traumatic injury\u2014thereby significantly reducing preventable deaths.<\/p>\n
The initiative is part of a comprehensive, systems-based approach to road safety under the Zero Fatality Corridor (ZFC) Programme, which focuses on improving engineering, enforcement, emergency response, and public awareness across India\u2019s 100 most high-risk corridors, identified using a composite road crash severity index.<\/p>\n
Speaking about the initiative, Dr Bhoye Prabhakar, Medical Superintendent, RH Talasari, said, “With essential life-saving equipment, our hospital will be better equipped to handle trauma cases. This initiative by SaveLIFE Foundation will play a crucial role in reducing fatalities and long-term disabilities caused by road crashes in the region.”<\/p>\n

With this intervention, SaveLIFE Foundation has strengthened its commitment to improving road safety and emergency response systems on the Dahisar\u2013Achad section of NH 48. By enabling public health facilities to function as trauma stabilisation centres, SLF continues to work systematically towards lowering the burden of road crash fatalities on the public health system and on families across Maharashtra.<\/p>\n
