As India advances towards its 2070 net-zero target<\/a>, the focus is shifting beyond clean energy technologies to the sustainability of the industries that enable them. With copper playing a critical role in electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and power infrastructure, manufacturers are increasingly adopting responsible production practices to support both industrial growth and environmental goals.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reflecting on the importance of sustainable manufacturing<\/span> in India’s clean energy transition, Mr Pramod C, Director, Gopalan Metals<\/strong>, says, \u201cEvery electric vehicle, every solar panel, and every kilometre of smart grid runs on copper. As India races toward its 2070 net-zero target, the demand for this metal will only intensify. But decarbonising our infrastructure while perpetuating carbon-heavy manufacturing<\/span> is a contradiction we cannot afford.<\/span><\/p>\n

At Gopalan Metals, we have made a deliberate choice to build a manufacturing<\/span> operation that is as responsible as the technologies it enables. Copper is nature’s gift to the clean energy transition; it is 100% recyclable, extraordinarily conductive, and endlessly reusable. Our role is to honour that gift by minimising waste, maximising efficiency, and keeping the entire production lifecycle within a tightly controlled, digitally governed ecosystem at our Hoskote facility.<\/span><\/p>\n
