In a landmark move for India’s rapidly expanding artificial intelligence ecosystem, Meta has announced a strategic partnership with Reliance Industries<\/a> to build its first AI-enabled data center in India. The state-of-the-art facility will be developed in Jamnagar, Gujarat, with a planned capacity of 168 megawatts (MW) and is expected to be delivered within the next two years.<\/p>\n

The project marks one of the largest AI infrastructure investments in India and underscores the country’s growing importance in the global race for artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and digital infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Reliance to Deliver End-to-End Infrastructure Services<\/strong><\/p>\n

Under the agreement, Reliance will fully develop the Jamnagar data center and provide comprehensive services including design, construction, utility management, renewable energy integration, network connectivity, and managed services.<\/p>\n

Mark Zuckerberg said Meta is proud to work with Reliance on the company’s first AI-enabled data center in India.<\/p>\n

According to Zuckerberg, the world-class facility in Jamnagar will help Meta expand its global AI infrastructure footprint while deepening its long-term investment in India’s economy, technology sector, and digital innovation landscape.<\/p>\n

Meta Expands AI Infrastructure Through \u2018Meta Compute\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

Meta has also partnered with Fourth Partner Energy<\/a> to supply renewable power through 88 MW of new solar and wind projects located in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh.<\/p>\n
