Hyderabad, 11th June 2026<\/span><\/b>: The second day of the\u00a05th IEEE Wireless, Antenna and Microwave Symposium (WAMS-2026)<\/strong>, being hosted at\u00a0B.V. Raju Institute of Technology (BVRIT), Narsapur<\/strong>, witnessed vibrant participation from researchers, academicians, industry experts, and students from across India and 18 countries.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n A major highlight of the day was the outreach programme conducted under\u00a0IEEE SIGHT (Special Interest Group on Humanitarian Technology)<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0IEEE COPE (Committee on Promoting Equality)<\/strong>, led by\u00a0Dr. Vedula Sameer Chakravarthy<\/strong>\u00a0of Vignan Institute of Information Technology, Visakhapatnam,\u00a0Dr. Jayasree Das<\/strong>\u00a0of BVRIT, and\u00a0Dr. Satish Rama Chowdary<\/strong>. The initiative was specially designed to ignite scientific curiosity among school students and encourage them to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and innovation while fostering a sense of social responsibility.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n Through engaging presentations and interactive demonstrations, School students gained valuable insights into the applications of\u00a0space technology<\/strong>,\u00a0satellite systems in everyday life<\/strong>,\u00a0healthcare innovations<\/strong>,\u00a0military and defence technologies<\/strong>, and emerging developments in the\u00a0education sector<\/strong>. The sessions highlighted how technological advancements are transforming society and addressing humanitarian challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n Adding to the excitement was a\u00a0live CubeSat tracking demonstration<\/strong>, organised with the support of\u00a0Dhruva Space<\/strong>. The session offered participants a rare opportunity to witness real-time satellite tracking and understand the fundamentals of satellite communication and space technologies, generating immense enthusiasm among the young audience.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n The day also featured\u00a0AP-S Chapter Chair Meetings<\/strong>,\u00a0Student Design Contest activities<\/strong>, initiatives for\u00a0Ph.D. and M.Tech. scholars<\/strong>, and networking programmes under\u00a0Women in Engineering (WiE)<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Young Professionals (YP)<\/strong>. The proceedings concluded with student recognition and service award ceremonies.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n The technical programme comprised\u00a0eight special sessions<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0four invited talks<\/strong>\u00a0by eminent experts from leading institutions in India and abroad. Discussions focused on cutting-edge research areas including\u00a05G\/6G communications<\/strong>,\u00a0Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces (IRS)<\/strong>,\u00a0RF Energy Harvesting<\/strong>,\u00a0Biomedical Sensing and Imaging<\/strong>,\u00a0Advanced Antenna Systems<\/strong>, and\u00a0Aerospace Technologies<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n Addressing the gathering,\u00a0Dr. Sanjay Dubey<\/strong>, Principal of BVRIT, stated that WAMS-2026 is providing an exceptional platform for students and faculty members to engage with globally renowned researchers and industry leaders, thereby strengthening their knowledge, research capabilities, and innovation potential.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n Dr. B.R. Sanjeeva Reddy<\/span><\/strong>, General Chair of WAMS-2026, noted that the symposium has attracted participants from\u00a018 countries<\/strong>\u00a0and premier institutions worldwide, creating opportunities for international collaboration and advancing research in wireless, antenna, and microwave engineering.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n Distinguished guests including\u00a0Dr. Sudhakar K. Rao<\/strong>,\u00a0Dr. C. J. Reddy<\/strong>\u00a0(Virtual),\u00a0Prof. Francesco P. Andriulli<\/strong>,\u00a0Prof. Christophe Fumeaux<\/strong>,\u00a0Dr. Dhaval Pujara<\/strong>,\u00a0Mr. Phil Venezia<\/strong>, scientists from national laboratories, faculty members, researchers, and students actively participated in the event.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n The successful organization of WAMS-2026 has been made possible through the continuous support of the management of BVRIT, The symposium continues to serve as a premier international platform for knowledge exchange, technological innovation, and global collaboration in the fields of wireless communications, antennas, microwaves, and space technologies.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n Among others,\u00a0Mr. B.
