The Government of India has approved\u00a0new\u00a0Inter State Transmission System (ISTS)<\/strong>\u00a0schemes to evacuate\u00a09 GW of RE power<\/strong>\u00a0from Rajasthan and Karnataka. These schemes will be implemented through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) mode. These schemes are part of 500 GW RE capacity by 2030 out of which 200 GW is already connected.<\/p>\n

2. Brief of the approved schemes is as under:<\/p>\n

  1. The\u00a0power evacuation scheme<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0Rajasthan<\/strong>\u00a0Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) will evacuate\u00a04.5 GW<\/strong>\u00a0of RE power from Rajasthan.\u00a0It comprises 1\u00a0GW from Fatehgarh complex, 2.5 GW from Barmer Complex and 1 GW from Nagaur (Merta) Complex. This power will be transferred to Mainpuri Region, Fatehpur and Orai of Uttar Pradesh. The completion period of the scheme is\u00a0two years<\/strong>. Cost of the scheme is about\u00a0\u20b912,241\u00a0crore.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. The\u00a0System strengthening scheme<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0Karnataka<\/strong>\u00a0will evacuate\u00a04.5 GW<\/strong>\u00a0RE power from Koppal area and Gadag area. The scheme will be completed by June\u00a02027. Cost of the scheme is about\u00a0\u20b91,354\u00a0crore.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
