{"id":9824,"date":"2024-07-09T22:07:17","date_gmt":"2024-07-09T16:37:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/matribhumisamachar.com\/en\/?p=9824"},"modified":"2024-07-09T22:07:17","modified_gmt":"2024-07-09T16:37:17","slug":"dfs-secretary-chairs-review-meeting-on-financial-inclusion-schemes-progress-with-private-sector-banks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/matribhumisamachar.com\/en\/2024\/07\/09\/dfs-secretary-chairs-review-meeting-on-financial-inclusion-schemes-progress-with-private-sector-banks\/","title":{"rendered":"DFS Secretary Chairs Review Meeting on Financial Inclusion Schemes Progress with Private Sector Banks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dr. Vivek Joshi, Secretary, Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, chaired a review meeting on the progress and performance of Financial Inclusion Schemes, including PM SVANidhi, PM Vishwakarma and Jan Samarth Portal with senior executives of Private Sector Banks, in New Delhi today.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/image001GZE3.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the meeting, Dr. Joshi reviewed the progress under various Financial Inclusion schemes including\u00a0<em>Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana<\/em>\u00a0(PMJDY),\u00a0<em>Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana<\/em>\u00a0(PMJJBY),\u00a0<em>Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana<\/em>\u00a0(PMSBY),\u00a0<em>Atal Pension Yojana<\/em>\u00a0(APY),\u00a0<em>Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana<\/em>\u00a0(PMMY), Stand Up India, PM Street Vendor&#8217;s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (<em>PM SVANidhi<\/em>),\u00a0<em>PM Vishwakarma<\/em>, etc. He also reviewed the progress of opening of brick &amp; mortar branches of banks and deployment of Banking Correspondents (BCs) in unbanked villages.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/static.pib.gov.in\/WriteReadData\/userfiles\/image\/image002BPDA.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dr. Joshi underlined the significant progress made in expanding social security and deepening financial inclusion in the country through various flagship schemes of the Government. He discussed in detail the progress made by private banks for deepening of Financial Inclusion and urged them to increase their participation in financial inclusion schemes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dr. Joshi exhorted private banks to give more thrust on serving the marginalised sections of the society and fulfilling their banking needs. A detailed presentation on features of\u00a0<em>Jan Samarth<\/em>\u00a0portal was also made, in which Dr. Joshi highlighted the importance of\u00a0<em>Jan Samarth<\/em>\u00a0portal that presents information of credit-linked schemes of the government on a single platform.
