માર્ગ સલામતી જાગૃતિ અને જવાબદાર ડ્રાઇવિંગ પ્રવૃત્તિઓને પ્રોત્સાહન આપવાના એક સંકલિત પ્રયાસમાં, રાષ્ટ્રીય રક્ષા યુનિવર્સિટી (RRU), ગુજરાત રોડ સેફ્ટી ઓથોરિટી અને ગાંધીનગર જિલ્લા પોલીસના સહયોગથી 3 ફેબ્રુઆરી 2025ના રોજ દહેગામ ખાતે નેહરુ ચોકડીથી દહેગામ બસ સ્ટેશન સુથી રોડ સેફ્ટી જાગૃતિ રેલીનું આયોજન કર્યું હતું. આ પહેલ માર્ગ અકસ્માતો ઘટાડવા અને નાગરિકોને સલામત મુસાફરી અને ટ્રાફિક નિયમોનું પાલન કરવા પ્રોત્સાહિત કરવા માટે ચાલી રહેલા અભિયાનનો એક ભાગ હતો. દહેગામ શહેરની સ્થાનિક માધ્યમિક અને ઉચ્ચતર માધ્યમિક શાળાઓના આશરે 300 વિદ્યાર્થીઓ, RRUના 40 NCC કેડેટ્સ અને NSS સ્વયંસેવકો, અને યુનિવર્સીટીના 200થી વધુ વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ રેલીમાં સક્રિયપણે ભાગ લીધો હતો. આ દરેક સહભાગીઓએ માર્ગ સલામતી પર પ્રભાવશાળી સંદેશાઓ લખેલા પ્લેકાર્ડ અને બેનરો હાથમાં રાખ્યા હતા, જેમાં હેલ્મેટ પહેરવા, ગતિ મર્યાદાનું પાલન કરવા, નશામાં વાહન ના ચલાવવાનું અને સીટ બેલ્ટનો ઉપયોગ કરવાના મહત્વ પર ભાર મૂકવામાં આવ્યો હતો. રાષ્ટ્રીય રક્ષા યુનિવર્સિટી તરફથી કુલપતિશ્રી પ્રો. (ડો.) બિમલ પટેલ અને ગુજરાત રોડ સેફટી ઓથોરિટી તરફથી કમીશ્નરશ્રી સતીશ પટેલ (IAS) દ્વારા ફલેગ ઓફ કરી રેલીને પ્રસ્થાન કરાવવામાં આવી હતી. આ રેલી માં ગુજરાત આરક્ષિત પોલીસ દળના પોલીસ બેન્ડ દ્વારા દેશ ભક્તિના ગીતો સાથે પ્રતિનિધિત્વ કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. ઉપરાંત રાષ્ટ્રીય રક્ષા યુનિવર્સીટી અને ગુજરાત રોડ સેફટી ઓથોરીટીના ઉચ્ચ અધિકારીઓ તથા સ્થાનિક સ્કુલોના શિક્ષકો એ ભાગલીધો હતો. કાર્યક્રમ દરમિયાન વિદ્યાર્થીઓ દ્વારા સહભાગીઓને ટ્રાફિક નિયમોનું પાલન, માર્ગ સલામતીના ઉપકરણોનો ઉપયોગ કરવા બાબતે જાગૃત કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા. આયોજકોએ ભવિષ્યમાં પણ આવી જ જાગૃતિ ઝુંબેશ ચલાવવાની પ્રતિબદ્ધતા વ્યક્ત કરી, જેથી ખાતરી કરી શકાય કે માર્ગ સલામતી બધા માટે પ્રાથમિકતા રહે. માર્ગ સલામતી જાગૃતિ રેલીએ એક પ્રભાવશાળી સંદેશ યાદ અપાવ્યો કે સલામત રસ્તાઓ એક સહિયારી જવાબદારી છે. અધિકારીઓના સતત પ્રયાસો અને જાહેર ભાગીદારી સાથે, આવી પહેલ માર્ગ અકસ્માતોમાં નોંધપાત્ર ઘટાડો કરવામાં ફાળો આપી શકે છે.https://static.pib.gov.in/WriteReadData/userfiles/image/WhatsAppImage2025-02-04at5.19.31PMIE45.jpeg
