Stones pelted from church on Bajrang Dal workers opposing religious conversion

Raipur. A fierce fight broke out between the Christian community and Bajrang Dal workers in Durg, Chhattisgarh on Sunday. People from the Christian community attacked the Bajrangis who came to protest against the conversion with stones. On this, Bajrang Dal workers entered the church and a fight broke out between the two sides.

On receiving the information, officers arrived with the police force and somehow pacified the people. Bajrang Dal workers allege that religious conversion was taking place in the church. The matter pertains to the church located at Raipur Naka in Durg. At present force is deployed at the spot.

According to the information, prayers were being held in the church around 10-11 am on Sunday morning. At the same time suddenly Bajrang Dal workers reached there in large numbers. Alleged that people of other religions are being brainwashed in the church to convert them. They are also luring.

After this, Bajrang Dal workers started raising slogans of Jai Shri Ram outside the church. Seeing this, people of the Christian community became angry. They started throwing stones at them. Due to this, Bajrang Dal workers also became furious and entered the church.

During this, there was fierce fighting and jostling between the two sides. Someone informed the police about the matter. After this, forces from 6-7 police stations and 200 to 250 soldiers reached the spot. He tried to stop the Bajrang Dal workers, but they were quite aggressive.

Bajrangi agreed after police assurance

Bajrang Dal workers raised slogans of Jai Shri Ram in the presence of police. Said that they will not tolerate if conversion takes place. ASP City Abhishek Jha and TI, police force, CSP etc. officers of about 7 police stations were present there. He explained to the workers and assured action after investigation. After this the atmosphere calmed down.

Bajrangis demanded closure of the church

Bajrang Dal official Ramlochan Tiwari said that conversion work was being done here as part of a conspiracy. These people do this by luring innocent Hindus into providing pulses, rice, medicines and other arrangements. The administration is not taking any action on them. This is a private church. This should be stopped immediately.
