New Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha will undergo vitrectomy surgery in Britain to prevent ‘retinal detachment’ of the eye. Party sources gave this information on Saturday. According to Aam Aadmi Party sources, this condition characterized by the formation of small holes in the retina poses a significant threat to eye vision and requires immediate surgery to prevent irreversible damage.
‘Retinal detachment’ is a condition where the delicate tissue at the back of the eye separates from its normal position, causing loss of vision. If it is not treated on time, these small holes can grow rapidly, causing severe vision impairment or even blindness. According to AAP sources, Chadha has been advised to undergo this surgery under the supervision of a senior ophthalmologist in Britain. He told that at present the condition of his eyes is stable and there is no damage to his vision.
