Buenos Aires, Argentina–(Newsfile Corp. – May 11, 2026) – Grupo Clarín S.A. (BYMA: GCLA) (“Grupo Clarín” or the “Company”), the largest media company in Argentina, announced today its First Quarter 2026 results. Figures in this report have been prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (*) (“IFRS”) as of March 31, 2026 and are stated in Argentine Pesos (“Ps”), unless otherwise indicated.
(*) The Company’s Management has applied IAS 29 in the preparation of these financial statements (inflation adjustment) as per Resolution 777/18, issued by the Comisión Nacional de Valores (“CNV”), that establishes that the restatement must be applied to the financial statements.
Highlights (1Q26 vs. 1Q25):
- For the purposes of the analysis, it should be noted that the results presented in a comparative manner (1Q25) include the effect of year over year inflation as of March 31, 2026, which amounted to 32.6%.
- Total Revenues reached Ps. 119,145.0 million, a decrease of 5.0% in real terms compared to 1Q25, mainly due to lower Circulation, Printing, and Other Sales Revenues in the Digital and Printed Publications segment, partially offset by an increase in advertising revenues, and higher Programming sales in the Broadcasting and Programming segment.
- Adjusted EBITDA(1) reached Ps. 19,108.3 million, an increase of 15.5% compared to 16,543.1 for 1Q25, mostly explained by lower Cost of Sales in the Digital and Printed Publications segment and in the Broadcasting and Programming segment, and lower Selling Administrative Expenses across all segments.
- Grupo Clarín’s Adjusted EBITDA Margin(2) was 16.0% in 1Q26, compared to 13.2% in 1Q25.
- Profit for the period resulted in Ps. 7,116.1 million, an increase of 10.3% compared to a profit of Ps. 6,453.1 million reported in 1Q25. Net Income for the period attributable to Equity Shareholders amounted to Ps 6,644.9 million in 1Q26 from a profit of Ps. 6,319.3 million in 1Q25, an increase of 5.2%.
