The global theme for this year’s celebration, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” resonated strongly with Regency’s commitment to holistic education, promoting harmony between mind, body, and environment.

Promoting Wellness beyond the Classroom
Regency College consistently nurtures a culture that values mental well-being, physical fitness & resilience. The highlight of the event was an invigorating Yoga Asanas session conducted by Ms. Swapna from Addlife’s Holistic Wellness Centre, Banjara hills. 60 final-year students and faculty members actively participated in the session, which focused on enhancing flexibility, concentration, balance, and inner peace.
Participants practiced nearly 20 yoga postures, including the widely acclaimed Surya Namaskar. The session concluded with breathing exercises such as Nadi Shodhan Pranayama (Alternate Nostril Breathing), Bhastrika Pranayama (Bellows Breathing), and Bhramari Pranayama (Bee Breathing), promoting relaxation, mental focus, and emotional well-being.
Insights on Holistic Living and Conscious Lifestyle Choices
Ms. Swapna and Mr.Jangilwad Raju, conducted an insightful session on holistic living. They shared valuable perspectives on disciplined daily routines, healthy eating habits, stress management, and the transformative benefits of regular yoga practice. For students preparing for careers in hospitality, yoga connects effectively both in personal well-being & professional excellence.

Addressing the gathering, Principal P. Ramesh Kumar Reddy stated that Regency College’s commitment to delivering holistic education that develops both professional competence and personal well-being among students. A Nourishing Sattvic Breakfast Experience
Adding a unique culinary dimension to the celebration, Cuchillos Club (Gastronomy Club) thoughtfully curated a wholesome millet-based Sattvic breakfast that reflected the principles of balanced nutrition and healthy living.
The specially designed menu featured: Fresh Cut Fruits – Seasonal Papaya, Watermelon, Muskmelon, and Mango
• Steamed Dhokla – Soft Gujarati-style Dhokla served with Fresh Mint Chutney.
• Millet Khichdi – Nutritious Millet Khichdi accompanied by Chilled Curd and Spicy Mango
Pickle.
• Dibba Rotti – Traditional Andhra-style Dibba Rotti served with Bombay Chutney and Sweet Cheruku Panakam.
• Ragi Muffins – Fibre-rich Finger Millet Muffins packed with essential nutrients.
• Beetroot & Coconut Tea Cake – A moist and flavourful tea cake prepared with fresh
Beetroot and Coconut.
• Jaggery Tres Leches – A fusion-inspired dessert delicately sweetened with natural Jaggery.
• ABC Juice – A refreshing blend of Apple, Beetroot, and Carrot.
• Strawberry Smoothie – An antioxidant-rich smoothie prepared with fresh Strawberries.
• Infused Detox Water – Cucumber, Mint, and Lemon infused water for natural hydration.
• Blueberry Yogurt – Probiotic-rich Yogurt layered with homemade Blueberry Compote.
The breakfast served as traditional and wholesome foods can play a vital role in supporting overall health and wellness.
Collaboration with Telangana Tourism
The Telangana State Tourism Department in association with Incredible India, the Yuva Tourism Club, and the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India; Ms Netra Devang – Deputy Manager of Telangana Tourism & Mr Shashank Ramendra – Assistant Manager of Telangana Tourism supported the event by providing yoga mats and T-shirts for participants and commended the college for reinforcing the significance of nurturing a wellness-oriented culture and empowering young minds to adopt sustainable lifestyle practices.
On the occasion, students shared that the event was inspiring, rejuvenating, and deeply enriching, helping them feel more focused, balanced, and refreshed.
