Renowned Himalayan Yogi and Spiritual Leader Leads Yoga and Meditation Programmes in Tokyo, Marking the Next Chapter in the Global Journey of Indian Yoga

Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar, renowned Himalayan Yogi, spiritual leader, author and Founder of Akshar Yoga Kendraa, is currently in Japan, where he is leading Yoga and meditation programmes in Tokyo and sharing the ancient traditions of Himalayan Yoga, meditation and Siddha wisdom with a global audience.

His ongoing Japan visit marks an important milestone in his larger mission of making India’s traditional yogic knowledge accessible across cultures and communities worldwide. The visit also sets the stage for the expansion of Akshar Yoga Kendraa in Japan, with plans encompassing Yoga education, meditation, teacher development, spiritual learning and wellbeing programmes.

At the heart of his mission is the vision to establish and nurture the culture and tradition of the Siddha family—a way of life where people live happily, prosperously, consciously and beautifully, with cleanliness, discipline, health, harmony and continuous growth becoming part of everyday living.

A key highlight of the Japan chapter will be the Global Full Moon Meditation on August 28, 2026, led by Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar from Japan. Nearly 1,000 participants are expected to join online and in person, making the programme an important international gathering centred on inner stillness, awareness, mental clarity and collective consciousness.

Through his programmes, Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar is introducing participants to traditional Himalayan approaches to the body, breath and mind through Yoga, Pranayama, meditation, Mudras and concentration practices. The emphasis remains on developing awareness, focus, inner balance and mental clarity while preserving the philosophical foundations of these ancient practices.

The Japan initiative also represents a cultural meeting point between Himalayan yogic traditions and Japanese perspectives on mindfulness, simplicity, discipline and harmony. Rather than simply carrying a practice from one culture to another, the programmes seek to create a meaningful exchange between two traditions that place great importance on inner development, awareness and balance.

“Yoga has never belonged to one geography. Its essence is universal, while its roots are deeply Indian. Being in Japan gives us an opportunity to share the wisdom of the Himalayas while also learning from a culture that has its own profound understanding of mindfulness, discipline, simplicity and harmony. This is not merely an expansion of an institution; it is an opportunity to take India’s ancient wisdom to more people around the world,” said Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar.

The forthcoming expansion of Akshar Yoga Kendraa in Japan will further strengthen its international mission of bringing Himalayan Yoga, meditation and spiritual knowledge to global communities. The Japan chapter is expected to develop programmes in Yoga education, meditation, teacher training and holistic wellbeing, creating a structured platform for those seeking to learn and practise traditional Himalayan approaches.

Recognised under the Yoga Institution category of the Yoga Certification Board, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, Akshar Yoga Kendraa has established an international footprint across 80+ countries. Its programmes have trained 50,000+ Yoga teachers, reached 20 million+ practitioners and students, and the institution holds 42 Guinness World Records™️.

With its Japan initiative, Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar seeks to take this journey further, bringing the depth of India’s Himalayan yogic traditions to new audiences while building meaningful bridges between ancient wisdom and the needs of the modern world.
