
New Delhi:- Essex Farm Under-16 emerged victorious in the 9th Harveer Memorial Under-16 Cricket Tournament 2026, defeating Kaushal Cricket Coaching Centre by 211 runs in the final at Lets Play Sports Cricket Stadium, New Delhi.
Winning the toss, Essex Farm Under-16 elected to bat first and posted an imposing 328 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 40 overs. The innings was powered by an outstanding century from Saksham Yadav, who scored 110 runs, while Yuvish Singh contributed a valuable 94 runs.
For Kaushal Cricket Coaching Centre, Madhav Agarwal and Vatsal claimed two wickets each.
Chasing a challenging target of 329 runs, Kaushal Cricket Coaching Centre struggled against the Essex Farm bowling attack and were bowled out for 117 runs in 23.4 overs.
Kabir Chauhan led the bowling effort for Essex Farm Under-16, taking three wickets and playing a key role in the team’s emphatic victory.
Essex Farm Under-16 secured the championship with a convincing 211-run win. Saksham Yadav was named Player of the Match for his brilliant 110-run innings.
The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Rajan Manchanda, former Joint Secretary of the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA), Secretary of Roshan Club and BJP Convenor, Sports Cell, Delhi, along with Santosh Kumar Rai, IAS, Special Secretary, Home Department.
The tournament showcased the talent, competitiveness, and promising future of young cricketers, while providing an important platform for emerging players to demonstrate their skills.
