Mumbai, May 2025: Released in theatres on May 9, Aamar Boss has struck an emotional chord with audiences, emerging as the biggest Bengali opener of 2025. In just three days, the film has collected a remarkable ₹1.10 crore, making it the highest weekend grosser of the year so far for Bengali cinema, an impressive feat for a non-holiday release.
Led by Rakhee Gulzar’s spectacular comeback and Shiboprosad Mukherjee’s heartfelt performance, the film has received immense love and strong word-of-mouth, drawing packed houses across theatres.
This milestone comes at a time when the entertainment industry is facing complex shifts with production houses choosing OTT over theatrical release, given the sensitive India-Pakistan tensions.
