Kanpur: The Department of Physics at D.A-V. College, Kanpur, is set to host a high-profile two-day National Seminar exploring the profound connections between ancient wisdom and modern science. Titled “Indian Knowledge System: Past, Present and Future in View of Physics,” the event will commence on March 24, 2026, at the college auditorium.
The seminar, sponsored by Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj (CSJM) University, features a stellar lineup of academic leaders. Prof. Manindra Agarwal, Director of IIT Kanpur and a Padma Shri awardee, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event is held under the patronage of Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak, Vice-Chancellor of CSJM University.
Over two days, renowned experts including Prof. Devendra Mishra (BHU) and Prof. Ritabrata Biswas will discuss how Vedic insights and traditional Indian frameworks align with contemporary physical laws. According to Convener Prof. Rajeev Kumar, the seminar aims to bridge the gap between India’s intellectual heritage and future scientific innovations.
