Hyderabad, November 2026: Almost Gods is bringing its universe to Hyderabad with the opening of its newest Chapter in Jubilee Hills. Located on Road Number 10, the space marks the brand’s first store in the city, creating a new meeting point for fashion, architecture, culture and community.

The doors open on 1st November at 7 PM. Set behind an oval glass façade, the space is conceived as an extension of the Almost Gods world, where material, scale, light and movement become part of the experience of the brand.

At 24 feet high, the store is defined by a sense of scale and physicality. Raw wood, rock and stone shape the interior, creating an environment that feels closer to a geological landscape than a conventional retail space. A key element is the use of actual locally quarried, raw and uncut stone from Hyderabad, which has been incorporated directly into the architecture as a display table. Rather than simply referencing the city, the material physically brings Hyderabad into the Almost Gods space, allowing the local landscape to become part of the brand’s visual language.

The material choices are deliberately elemental. Raw wood sits alongside the unprocessed stone, while light and shadow move through the height of the structure, revealing different surfaces and details as people move through the space. The resulting environment has the quality of a mystic cave: monumental in scale, raw in material and constantly changing through movement and light.

The architecture also draws from a central idea within Almost Gods’ world: the relationship between the human and the larger forces that surround it. The height of the space creates a deliberate contrast between the scale of the human body and the architecture, while the movement of people through the store becomes part of the environment. The space is therefore not designed simply to house clothing, but to create an experience around how people encounter objects, materials and one another.

This thinking extends the approach Almost Gods has taken across its physical Chapters. The brand treats its spaces as extensions of its design practice, translating the ideas behind its clothing into environments through architecture, material and atmosphere. If the first store established this approach through its sculptural interventions, the Hyderabad Chapter develops it through a more elemental and locally grounded material language.

For Hyderabad, the store becomes a meeting point between the Almost Gods universe and the character of the city itself. Its architecture brings together the brand’s references to ancient landscapes, material culture, mythology and mysticism with the physical language of Hyderabad.

True Black Coffee will share the space, bringing fashion and hospitality together under one roof. The launch will also introduce an exclusive Almost Gods offering created in collaboration with True Black for the evening.

The opening will unfold as a cultural gathering rather than a conventional store launch, bringing together fashion, music, food and art with Hyderabad’s creative community. Artists, designers, cultural figures, creators, collaborators, influencers and friends of the brand will come together for the opening, alongside members of the wider Almost Gods network.

At the centre of Almost Gods is an interest in human transcendence and the tension between the human and the divine, the ancient and the future. Founded in New Delhi by Dhruv Khurana, the brand has built a distinct design identity within contemporary Indian fashion by drawing from mysticism, mythology and history, bringing these references into conversation with Indian craft, culture and contemporary design.

Almost Gods approaches clothing as a system of codes: a way of signalling belonging, embodying shared values and connecting individuals to a larger cultural identity. Its design language is built through silhouettes, fabrication, graphics, surface techniques and material processes, with each product contributing to a wider world and narrative.

The same philosophy informs the brand’s physical spaces. Architecture becomes another medium through which Almost Gods can explore ideas of power, scale, materiality, identity and the relationship between the individual and their surroundings.

“Hyderabad has a strong cultural identity and an increasingly dynamic creative community. For us, entering the city is not simply about opening another store. It is about creating a space where fashion, culture, art, music and community can come together, and building a relationship with a new audience while staying true to what Almost Gods represents,” says Dhruv Khurana, Founder & Creative Director.

Founded in New Delhi, Almost Gods has grown from close to ₹10 lakh in first-year revenue to a business on track for approximately ₹30 crore this year, with nearly 30 retail doors, three exclusive brand spaces and a team of 40+. The Hyderabad opening forms part of the brand’s wider expansion across India while it continues to build its international presence. Overseas demand has grown organically through travellers and word of mouth, with nearly half of the business already coming through direct-to-consumer channels. The brand aims to build a ₹100 crore-plus business within the next three years.

With its newest Chapter, Almost Gods brings its collections across apparel, accessories and new categories to Jubilee Hills, while creating a space where fashion, architecture, art, music and community exist within the same world.

The new Almost Gods Chapter opens 1 November 2026 at 7 PM, Road Number 10, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.
