European Life Science Research Association Announces Dual United Nations Qualification

London-based international life-science research organisation says the registrations will support scientific cooperation, public-health capacity building and humanitarian initiatives, with a long-term focus on Africa.

London, United Kingdom–(Newsfile Corp. – August 5, 2026) – The European Life Science Research Association (ELSRA), an international life-science research organisation registered in London, announced today that it has obtained dual qualification within United Nations procurement and implementing-partner mechanisms.

ELSRA is now registered as an eligible supplier through the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM) and as a prospective implementing partner through the United Nations Partner Portal (UNPP), creating new opportunities for scientific cooperation, public-health initiatives and humanitarian programmes.

The Association said its mission is to advance responsible life-science research and translate reliable scientific evidence into practical improvements in human health. Its activities cover biomedical research, epidemiology, laboratory science, disease surveillance, scientific training and public-health cooperation. ELSRA has established collaboration with more than 200 institutions and professional organisations worldwide, including research centres, laboratories, universities, health specialists and technical partners.

ELSRA emphasised that scientific credibility depends on rigorous methodology, transparency and accountability. The Association prioritises clearly defined research protocols, validated analytical methods, reproducible findings, independent review, research ethics, biosafety, data integrity and responsible management of scientific resources.

The Association noted that participation in United Nations-related mechanisms represents both an opportunity and a responsibility. UNGM registration provides access to a transparent procurement environment where organisations are evaluated on the basis of technical capability, quality systems, delivery capacity, ethical standards and institutional reliability. UNPP participation provides a framework for cooperation with United Nations entities and partners on humanitarian and development-related programmes.

Looking ahead, ELSRA identified virus research in Africa as one of its long-term priorities. Future initiatives may focus on laboratory capacity building, genomic and epidemiological surveillance, zoonotic disease research, respiratory and vector-borne viruses, biosafety training and responsible scientific data sharing. The Association said research efforts should support local scientific leadership and respond to regional public-health needs.

Disease prevention and control will also remain a central focus of ELSRA’s international agenda. The Association plans to support evidence-based approaches in early-warning systems, outbreak investigation, infection prevention, diagnostic readiness, risk communication and scientific workforce development.

In addition, ELSRA intends to explore humanitarian health partnerships supporting emergency preparedness, laboratory continuity, community health programmes and recovery efforts following outbreaks or other public-health challenges. The Association said all initiatives will emphasise transparency, accountability, local cooperation and measurable outcomes.

ELSRA stated that international recognition must be built through performance, responsible governance and sustained contribution. Through its future work, the Association aims to strengthen global life-science cooperation and help transform scientific knowledge into practical health solutions.
