Where a mere trivial matter that happened at Shaadi-e-Khana-Aabadi in Aurangabad, Bulandshahr became the reason for divorce. In fact, the marriage of a girl resident of Aurangabad with a young man resident of Seelampur, Delhi was scheduled on January 27. At the appointed time, the wedding procession reached the threshold of the bride’s side, all the rituals were performed with great enthusiasm and after the meal of the wedding guests, the Qazi also performed the Nikah of the bride and groom.
However, after a few hours, the happiness of the marriage turned into chaos when the groom divorced the bride, who was wearing henna on her hands, over a trivial matter. What happened was that someone from the bride’s side asked for the chair on which she was sitting for some time from her grandmother who had come with the groom in the wedding procession. The uproar regarding this increased so much that within a few hours of the marriage there was a situation of triple talaq.
It was told that people from the groom’s side considered it a big insult to ask for a chair from grandmother. Angered by this, the groom broke the marriage. At the same time, when the bride’s side came to know about this, they locked the marriage home from inside and took the groom and the wedding guests hostage. However, both the parties agreed on the groom’s side paying the wedding expenses and after the divorce, the marriage procession could return back to Delhi.
